Although Au is located almost in the center of Munich, it is still a rather quiet neighborhood. Situated between the Isar and Isarhochufer with Nockherberg, it is predominantly a small-part, grown residential area. Before incorporation in 1854, the Au consisted almost exclusively of small artisan houses. Over the years, of course urban development has reached the Au but in some parts, due to the cozy little hostels, there is a feeling like on a journey through time back to the 19th century. Coming from the Au one is immediately in the city center. Even the Gasteig with its extensive cultural offer is within walking distance. The German Museum is located almost in the direct neighborhood as well as the wonderful Maria-Hilf Church and the Auer Dult which regulary takes place there. In the narrow streets of the Au one lives as in parts of London or Paris but in the style of Munich. Small good restaurants, flea markets between the many residential buildings, one of the oldest and nicest cinemas in the city, the Museum Lichtspiele, the beautiful public swimming pool Müllersches Volksbad. This neighborhood is quiet, full of culture and very sought after. It is something for connoisseurs.
In 2007, an elegant, clever planned residential building was created between Lilienstraße and Isar. A separate part of this residential building is the offered maisonette apartment with a living area of ca. 329 m2. A modern designed forecourt gives already the feeling to enter a totally private property. The apartment does indeed work as a house-in-house with own doorstep and East Terrace. The well planned layout offers space for a home office as well as a guest room with bath and dressing room in the ground floor. Central point of the apartment is the open kitchen / dining / lounge area around a sunny atrium. Different levels in the ground floor are an extraordinary highlight, all connected with the same elegant PANDOMO floor (a primed, full-faced fine cement). In the upper floor, private rooms are constructed in two areas. A master area with dressing room, master bath room as well as a second bedroom also with dressing room and ensuite bath room. Both rooms offer an own balcony respective access to the remarkably large and quiet South-West terrace. Two underground parking spaces and a cellar room of ca. 22 m2 belong to the apartment. Availability according to agreement.
